Meet Ron James

Affectionately known as Captain Ron, I am running for Teton County Commissioner, District 3. I had the pleasure of moving out west in 2008, and from the moment I arrived, Victor has felt like home. The breathtaking landscapes, the tight-knit community, and the spirit of resilience and camaraderie have all contributed to this deep sense of belonging.

I am fortunate to have five wonderful children and six cherished grandchildren:

• Josh James and his wife Emma, residing in Tunica, Mississippi, with their daughter Willow and another on the way, Eleanor.
• Walker James and his wife Kate, residing in Sardis, Mississippi, with their daughter Ruth.
• Latham Stevens and her husband Adam, residing in Delta Junction, Alaska, with their three children Noah, Kathlynne, and Jill.
• Alex James, residing in Millington, Tennessee.
• Sam James, residing in Southaven, Mississippi.

My beloved wife, Retta, a long-time resident of Victor, is the backbone of everything I do. Her unwavering support and guidance keep me grounded, and I wouldn't be where I am today without her by my side.

Having spent years immersing myself in this community, I understand the values and concerns that are important to the residents of Victor. I have always admired the strong sense of community spirit, where neighbors support each other and work together for the common good. This spirit is what drives me to run for County Commissioner.

With your support, I am committed to Teton County District 3 with dedication, transparency, and a heartfelt passion for our community. Let's work together to build a stronger, more vibrant Victor where families thrive, businesses prosper, and the natural beauty of our valley is protected for generations to come.
