For more than four decades, I have built my career on solving problems, serving people, and making practical decisions.

 

 

After graduating from Teterboro School of Aeronautics and earning my FAA Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic certification, I moved to Florida to begin my career with Eastern Airlines. While working there, I earned my U.S. Coast Guard Master Captain’s License in 1987 and built a successful fishing guide business.

 

 

Recognizing the importance of preparing for the future, I established a marine repair facility before Eastern Airlines closed. I operated my busy marine repair and fishing charter service from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale for more than 30 years. My professional background has always required careful planning, responsible budgeting, technical knowledge, and putting customers first.

 

 

During a motorcycle ride down U.S. Highway 1, I discovered the beauty of the Indian River Lagoon and the unique character of this community. I introduced the town to my longtime companion, Deanna, and after many visits we knew we had found the place we wanted to call home. In 2019 we made the decision to leave South Florida and settle in Grant-Valkaria. 

 

 

Like so many residents, we chose Grant-Valkaria because of its rural lifestyle, natural beauty, friendly neighbors, and small-town values. As I became more involved in our community, I also became concerned about the pace of growth and the challenges facing our town. Growth is inevitable, but losing the qualities that make Grant-Valkaria special is not. I believe our town deserves leadership grounded in common sense, transparency, fiscal responsibility, and respect for the residents who live here.

 

 

If elected, I will work to preserve our rural character while ensuring that future growth is carefully planned and responsibly managed. This includes supporting zoning protections that limit overdevelopment, prioritizing infrastructure planning so roads and services keep pace with growth, and strengthening environmental safeguards to protect the Indian River Lagoon and surrounding natural areas. I believe residents deserve honest communication, open government, and leaders who listen before making decisions.

 

 

Grant-Valkaria is more than where I live—it’s home. I want future generations to enjoy the same peaceful community, access to our waterways, and quality of life that attracted me here. Together, we can preserve what makes Grant-Valkaria special while preparing responsibly for the future.
